The optical system uses 4 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements to effectively correct chromatic aberration, achieving high-contrast, vibrant image quality across all ranges. The lens incorporates an SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) for fast response and quiet lens drive. You can select between the standard DMF mode, which shifts to MF upon AF confirmation, and the full-time DMF mode, which allows shifting to MF at any time, enabling smooth fine-tuning of focus. Operability is also enhanced with features like a focus hold button and a focus range limiter switch.
