Achieves the world's fastest AF speed of 0.03 seconds with Fast Hybrid AF, which combines a phase-detection AF system excellent in speed and tracking with a high-precision contrast-detection AF system.
AF and AE tracking at up to approximately 24 fps high-speed continuous shooting is now possible thanks to the combination of the front-end LSI and the BIONZ X image processing engine.
Equipped with a large-aperture, high-magnification ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm F2.4-4.0 zoom lens. It covers focal lengths equivalent to multiple large-aperture interchangeable lenses in a single unit, from wide landscape photography to super-telephoto shooting of sports and wild birds.
Features Touch Focus, which allows you to select the focus position by touching the LCD monitor, and Touchpad functionality, which enables smooth focus position movement while looking through the viewfinder.
With the on-sensor phase-detection AF sensor, high-precision and high-tracking focusing is possible even during 4K video shooting, which is critical for focus.
