Product Features

• The new back-illuminated CMOS sensor with Triple Resolution Technology allows you to select image recording in DNG (RAW) or JPEG format with three pixel count options: 60 million, 36 million, or 18 million pixels.
• The ISO sensitivity setting range is ISO 50-100000. Equipped with the latest generation image processing engine from the "LEICA MAESTRO" series, born from "L2 Technology (L-Square Technology)" in collaboration with Panasonic, further improving operational speed.
• Features the "Leica Summilux f/1.7/28mm ASPH.", a representative large-aperture lens from Leica. It can also be used for macro photography with a minimum focusing distance of 17cm.
• The digital zoom function allows you to select equivalent focal lengths of 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 90mm. Two practical shooting assist functions, "Leica Perspective Control" and "Leica Dynamic Range," have been newly added.
• The autofocus system has also been significantly evolved. A new hybrid autofocus system incorporating phase detection has been adopted. This enables faster and more accurate focusing and tracking.
• "DFD (Depth From Defocus)" technology has also been newly adopted. The autofocus system, which combines the contrast detection method (most superior in accuracy), phase detection method, DFD technology, and intelligent object recognition technology, captures subjects sharply and clearly.
• Equipped with a new 5.76-million-dot OLED viewfinder, which displays the subject clearly and sharply. The LCD monitor is a high-definition 3.0-inch touchscreen with a new tilt mechanism.
• Achieves IP52-equivalent dust and moisture resistance, the same as the "Leica Q2."
• Seamless and high-speed communication is possible via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also supports MIMO, an advanced communication technology. Data transfer speed to the dedicated Leica app "Leica FOTOS" is approximately 10 times faster compared to the "Leica Q2."
• Capable of recording 8K video, and supports highly efficient codecs such as H.265 and Apple ProRes RAW, meeting the needs of diverse content creation.
• Newly implemented HDMI and USB Type-C terminals allow connection with gimbals, mobile batteries, external display recorders, and more.
• Wireless charging is possible with the newly introduced hand grip and wireless charger as dedicated accessories.
