• While maintaining the high optical performance of "RF lenses," the "Extender RF2×" can double the focal length. This allows for powerful shooting expressions that dramatically bring the subject closer.
• Utilizing the advantages of the "RF mount's" large diameter and short back focus, a large lens element is placed at the rear (camera side) of the lens group, achieving both high image quality from the center to the periphery and a compact, lightweight design.
• Adoption of optical materials with high refractive index and low dispersion reduces various aberrations that cause image quality degradation. The use of a 3-element cemented lens, which reduces the number of air-to-glass surfaces, and optimized coatings suppress the occurrence of ghosting.
• Dustproof and moisture-resistant construction is adopted for the mount and operating parts.
• High durability and resistance to vibration and shock are achieved, considering the attachment of heavy super-telephoto lenses.
• Heat-shielding paint is used to suppress lens temperature rise by reflecting infrared rays contained in sunlight.
