• A long-awaited super-telephoto zoom lens for NIKKOR Z, covering a wide focal length range from 180mm to 600mm. You can easily frame both nearby and distant subjects.
• By using the Z TELECONVERTER TC-1.4x/2.0x (sold separately), the telephoto focal length can be extended to 840mm and 1200mm respectively. Even when using a teleconverter, you can capture distant subjects with high image quality. With the TC-2.0x attached, the maximum magnification ratio becomes 0.5x, allowing for more impactful expressions.
• Despite being a super-telephoto zoom lens, the minimum shooting distance is 1.3m (at the wide-angle end; 2.4m at the telephoto end). You can photograph nearby subjects without changing lenses.
• It has a wider focal length range than the AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR, yet is lightweight. Weighing approximately 1955g, it is light for a lens covering up to 600mm focal length, allowing for comfortable handheld shooting.
• Features powerful 5.5-stop image stabilization. This reduces the impact of camera shake even in dimly lit scenes, such as under tree shade or during twilight.
• The AF mechanism employs an STM (stepping motor). High-speed and quiet focusing is possible, allowing you to reliably capture fast-moving wild birds and wild animals that would flee at the slightest sound.
• Features an internal zoom mechanism with no change in overall length during zooming and no movement of the front lens element, resulting in minimal shift in the center of gravity. This allows for a stable grip on the lens and stable framing.
• Features a dust-and-moisture-resistant design with sealing to prevent the intrusion of dust and water droplets. You can shoot with peace of mind even if the weather suddenly deteriorates.
• The frontmost lens element features a fluorine coat that resists dirt and is easy to wipe clean if dirt does adhere. This protects the lens from dirt, providing peace of mind for outdoor shooting.
