• The 35mm wide-angle field of view captures a natural range as seen by the eye, making it possible to shoot everything from portraits to close-ups with this single lens.
• The minimum focusing distance is 0.27m. You can achieve focus even when very close to the subject. It's also possible to capture impressive shots of subjects on a table while seated at a cafe, utilizing a large background blur.
• At a maximum aperture of f/1.4, the shallow depth of field allows subjects to stand out against a large, soft bokeh background.
• We pursued sharp resolution on the focal plane and clear rendering with minimal lens aberrations, surpassing conventional F-mount lenses. This allows for shooting details like individual strands of hair or colorful lantern patterns with crisp rendering and minimal color fringing in the peripheral areas.
• Focus breathing is effectively suppressed, ensuring natural visuals even when changing focus. Furthermore, silent AF is achieved with an STM (stepping motor). Even during video shooting in quiet locations, lens drive noise and operational noise are less likely to be recorded.
• Different knurl patterns are used for the focus ring and control ring. This makes it easier to distinguish them by touch, allowing for intuitive operation while looking through the viewfinder.
• The dust-and-moisture-resistant design incorporates sealing to prevent the intrusion of dust and water droplets into the lens.
