Covers a focal length from 18mm to 140mm, ideal for dynamic landscape shots at wide-angle and for capturing striking snapshots that highlight the subject with beautiful background blur at telephoto. A compact, lightweight, and highly versatile lens.
Equipped with a lens-shift type VR mechanism providing an image stabilization effect of 5.0 stops (CIPA standard compliant). This allows for confident shooting even in situations prone to camera shake, such as at telephoto or in low-light conditions.
A dust-and-moisture-resistant design with sealing to prevent the intrusion of dust and water droplets ensures high reliability.
Despite being a high-magnification zoom lens, it achieves a minimum focusing distance of 0.2m at the wide-angle end and 0.4m at the telephoto end. Excellent close-up performance further expands the possibilities for creative expression.
Achieves clear images with excellent aberration control through the use of two ED lenses and two aspherical lenses.
Pursues high operability even in video shooting. In addition to high-resolution images, it features STM (stepping motor) for the AF and aperture mechanisms, enabling quieter AF drive. Furthermore, high-speed, high-precision AF with excellent tracking allows for flexible focus and zoom position changes.
Various functions such as focus [M/A], aperture, exposure compensation, and ISO sensitivity can be assigned to the control ring from the camera, realizing comfortable and smooth operation.
