• Features a luxurious lens construction of 19 elements in 15 groups, including one SLD glass element, three FLD glass elements, and four aspherical lens elements. This achieves both advanced aberration correction and a bright F1.4 aperture.
• Meticulously corrects sagittal coma flare, which distorts the shape of stars, delivering high point-image reproducibility even at the edges of the frame at maximum aperture. Flare and ghosting are thoroughly suppressed through both optical design and coatings. This enables clear shooting of starry skies and nightscapes with excellent clarity.
• Includes a detachable tripod collar compatible with the Arca-Swiss type. This allows for more stable mounting of the front-heavy 14mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens on a tripod. The shape is designed to avoid interference even when using a lens heater.
• Comes with a cover lens cap with a locking mechanism. It also features a newly developed filter slot that can store two rear filters according to your needs.
• In addition to a dust- and moisture-resistant body, the frontmost element of the lens is treated with a water- and oil-repellent coating, allowing for worry-free shooting even in harsh outdoor environments.
• Employs a linear motor HLA for the AF actuator, enabling high-speed, quiet, and highly accurate autofocus. To support the large-diameter lens while maintaining performance, lightweight materials such as polycarbonate TSC, which has the same thermal shrinkage rate as aluminum, and magnesium are used in appropriate locations, ensuring internal structural rigidity while achieving weight reduction.
